Each year, the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation selects conferences and exhibits that enable the UMDF to create additional awareness of mitochondrial disease among members of the medical community. Among the conferences at which the UMDF exhibited are the Childhood Neurology Foundation, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Medical Genetics. Those attending the conferences are able to visit the UMDF exhibit to learn about mitochondrial diseases and to receive additional information.
