The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation has a limited amount of funds available for full and partial symposium scholarships. These scholarships are limited to affected individuals and their immediate family members.

You MUST be a member of the UMDF to be eligible for a scholarship. If you have received assistance in the past three years (2006, 2007, 2008) you will not be eligible for assistance this year.

Prior to applying for a the UMDF symposium scholarship, you  MUST have exhausted all other resources for financial support.  Please check with state and local resources for assistance in subsidizing attendance costs before submitting your application.
