A great way to get involved and to make a difference is to advocate for mitochondrial disease research funding. The UMDF has put a toolkit together to aid you in advocating and has a section of the website called the "Action Center" which makes it easy for you, your family and your friends to send a letter to your own elected officials as well as a letter to the editor of your local newspapers.
