Membership in the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation is open to patients, parents, guardians, friends, relatives, medical professionals, allied health professionals, etc.

The UMDF offers two membership levels:

New member information package This information package includes valuable information about mitochondrial terms, frequently asked questions, resource material and information.
Newsletter
The UMDF electronically delivers a quarterly newsletter that is loaded with information on the latest medical and scientific news relating to mitochondrial disease. The newsletter also publishes stories about other members and affected people who live with mitochondrial disease. Included in the newsletter are chapter events and fundraising efforts.
Member Discounts
Members of the UMDF receive discounts on the annual symposium registration fee as well as streaming video of the previous year. Discounts of up to 60% on supplements and vitamins (Including Co-Q10 and L-Carnitine) through Epic4Health and Vitaline Formulas.
Annual Symposium
Members receive a discount for the annual symposium where researchers, physicians, and clinicians are brought together to learn the latest news and information about mitochondrial diseases. The symposium also provides patients and families the opportunity to gain valuable information and network with the world's top experts in mitochondrial diseases.
Exceptional Parent Magazine
The UMDF recieves a $10 donation for every member who subscribes to Exceptional Parent Magazine.
