Attention:
Program Schedule
Updates Below!

Thank you for registering for Mitochondrial Medicine 2012 -- family and scientific meetings, faculty, exhibitors, volunteers, sponsors, etc.  We are less than two weeks away and looking forward to our best meeting in DC yet!  We have had a few program updates and have some tips to provide as we get closer to June 13-16!

General Tips and Information for ALL Attendees

  • Registration Check-in will be located on the lower level near the escalators.
    • Scientific registration will be open on Tuesday, June 12 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.  It will re-open on Wednesday morning at 7:00am.
    • Family registration (and Day on the Hill check-in) will be open all day Wednesday and will close for that day at 8:00pm.  Registration will re-open on Thursday morning at 7:00am.
  • Parking -- Hotel parking is $15 per day
  • Dietary Requirements -- If you have special dietary requirements and DID NOT provide them when you registered (or not sure if you did), please email them to symposium@umdf.org prior to Wednesday, June 6th.
  • Friday Night Banquet - There is a reduced rate for teens and young children (under 18) who are not registered for the symposium.  If you are planning on bringing children to the banquet, please email us at symposium@umdf.org prior to June 6th. (Note: there will be no entertainment at this year's banquet).
  • Service Dogs - please notify us at symposium@umdf.org if you are bringing a service dog so that we can inform hotel staff prior to your arrival.
  • Scooter Needs - if you did not include your needs on your registration, we may not be able to accomodate any requests on site.  Please let us know ASAP if you need a scooter.
  • Saturday Lunch -- there will be a box lunch on Saturday for all attendees (including the scientific attendees).  It was not noted in the scientific program schedule but we will provide box lunches.
  • Dress Attire Tips -- Since meeting room temperatures are difficult to regulate at times, you may want to dress in layers.  There will be lots of walking for families on the Capitol Hill Visits, so wear comfortable shoes!
