Tell your story in your community.
An easy way for you to spread awareness is to schedule a speaking engagement before a community organization. You will have the opportunity to tell your story, educate the audience about mitochondrial disease and dysfunction, and share with them the progress that UMDF has made. If this is something of interest to you, contact the UMDF at 888-317-8633 for tools and information.
See if you can get permission to set up a display that has information about mitochondrial disease and dysfunction. Use the opportunity to talk about your personal connection to the disease and how people can help the UMDF provide the ongoing research that accelerates us down the path towards a cure.
