Call for Abstracts – Symposium 2020

Call for Abstracts will open November 1, 2019 and closes on March 31, 2020.  Please direct all abstract submission inquiries to abstracts@umdf.org.

Presentations of Abstract

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by the Abstract Review Committee. The committee will review submissions and decide the form of presentation (oral vs. poster). All presenters will be notified by April 20, 2020. Oral presentations will be limited to 10 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for questions and answers.

Introduced in 2019 – we will once again include Poster Lightning Rounds within this year’s program.

All accepted abstracts will be presented in the course syllabus book that will be distributed to conference attendees electronically, and potentially printed post-conference.

Instructions for abstract submissions:

Body of Abstract should fall between 300-500 words and include all elements within the
attachment – presenter, author(s), affiliations, abstract title, and abstract body. Please use
the following format in the preparation of your abstract document
prior to attaching it below (use Arial font, 11 point):

Instructions for posters:

Poster dimensions should fall between 3 to 3.5 feet high by 3.5 to 4 feet wide (landscape).

Set up for the poster sessions – to be determined.

Cash Awards

Cash Awards of $125, $250, $500 and $1,000 will be given to the top four posters, courtesy of the Mitochondria Research Society (MRS) and Mitochondrial Medicine Society (MMS).
