UMDF’s commitment to providing you with the support, education, and resources you need to build better lives will not be interrupted. Those of you who do not have computer access will be provided with a telephone number and access code to participate via phone. Anyone concerned with privacy issues should know that UMDF Support Group Meetings will not record virtual sessions, capture your personal information, or use any information you provide during groups for any reason. UMDF is using Zoom, a third party vendor, to host these virtual support groups. Zoom is a cloud platform for video and audio conferencing with functionality across mobile devices, desktops and telephones. UMDF is enabling all security features to ensure privacy and will not be recording any part of these confidential groups. It is our responsibility to inform you that any virtual support is not as secure as having in-person interactions.
NOTE: Many of UMDF’s virtual support group meetings are promoted locally. However, none of the support groups are exclusive and UMDF will always welcome patients and families to attend regardless of location.
