ABOUT UMDF

The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) promotes research and education for the diagnosis, treatment and cure of mitochondrial disorders and to provide support for affected individuals and families. Since 1996, the UMDF has funded more than $13 million in the best and most promising research, making it the leading non-governmental contributor of grants focused solely on mitochondrial disease.

UMDF provides critical information to patient families fighting mitochondrial disease. Patient families connect through regional support meetings and at Mitochondrial Medicine, UMDF’s annual symposium where patients, clinicians and scientists gather and interact.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation’s Board of Trustees represents volunteer leaders who are working to advance the mission of the UMDF and who are dedicated to the patient families we serve.
